iv not posted for ages. I told myself at the start of year, 'id only buy good, or ones i liked this year'.
there has have been a couple. ha
so i actually won this a couple of months ago, but it was up in auckland and decided due to size id just go up and get it myself. got a mate to collect it and hold on to. I went up 2 weeks ago, timed perfectly to go to see DJ Shadow. alright gig.........

so here is my Sharp GX-33. dam its huge
oh yea, and 3 weeks before i went to auckland, this was for sale at a price i was willing to pay. was in auckland and pick up only. would have been stupid of me not to get. ha. it was my personal holy grail. i wanted 1 from the first time i knew what they were.
im now a very proud owner of a GF-777
it was quite the productive weekend in auckland. i had planned to send 1 home and take the other as my luggage on the plane. lucky for me the mate who picked it up for me, his mum was also there for the weekend and she had same flight back to christchurch as me. offered to take a radio as her luggage. very helpful. the GX was just over 18kg, wrapped and boxed on the scales
these are the few others i picked up earlier in the year
almost perfect JVC 838. has a dent on top edge. original strap and book
Brandt V-121 (New Zealand aka of Conion)
and last. another 1 i really wanted. pretty happy with it. Sanyo 9994. both mics. but missing 1 of the holders (anyone got a spare?)
its currently in a few pieces having a clean, trying to work out why play keeps stopping?
