Yep picture is of my Sharp GX-88Z (BK) , I am 1 of the very few that was lucky enough to acquire this unit. I have been restoring it and now have it fully operational .The last few remaining issues is repairing the 1 broken equaliser slider button (equaliser fully working) . I am thinking of using superglue mixed with charcoal to reattach it where its snapped (lucky I have the other bit) ...or I might have to get 1, 3d printed. Tapedeck2 needs a tracking align (over the tapehead) and I need to find a Sharp audio remote control that will do the basic function of power on/off and volume up down (this unit has a powered volume component that turns the dial via remote) Very very powerful unit... way more power richness and depth than my GF800 ....lol . I see there was another thread on this years ago and the person got his from here in New Zealand his unit weighed in at 45lb's ...this unit weighs 41lb's (18.6kg) without batteries. I have used a pair of 4ohm heavier woofers bottom and a pair of 4ohm 3 ways for the top pair (old original speakers (4ohm) saved for refoaming 1 day) . I have not fitted a crossover as they did rather I stayed factory but reversed the top/bottom speaker wiring around and found this boosted the bass output and the bought better balance with the treble. Sound is very crisp full and clear....much like a home stereo... these units really are something special .... anyone lucky enough to grab 1 that is fully working will know this...
