Enjoying the radio tuner on my IPhone5!

Life is a journey where you learn new things everyday!

I feel more and more humble!

What do I know? ... guy born in the 60s..

I went to buy a wiper insert for my car and the guy at BMW parts was listening to Christmas songs from his IPhone.

...... I asked him ...that sounds good... what are you listening?

He says it is radio station from UK... mm..

I went home and started listening to radio stations all over the World...on my fav boombox...music system......constantly from two my IPhones5s...

I do have unlimited data with Sprint...

Now listening to ....Nashville FM... Christmas songs....crystal clear.... Super quality...wow!

or is it all $$ part of your total monthly fee ?

Ira, give http://tunein.com/ a try. It's a website that does on a computer the same as the radio app does on smart phones (and Apple products). If you register at the site for a (totally free) user account, you can not only select stations by music type, country and station name but you also get to save favourites to your personal list, record material from the site at no cost and best bit is that you don't need to p*ss $??? each month up the wall on a contract for a phone!

All it could cost if you don't have one already is a lead or an FM microtransmitter to hook your computer up to your boombox of choice.

:agree: TuneIn is great, every station in the world that is streamed via a website is there. Great app, I use it all the time. Was using it today. Even that station I DJ for is on there (Kosher Metal).

What kind of data usage we talking about, like say you listen for an hour?
When you are at home or somewhere with WiFi that you can connect to there is no data usage fee. Otherwise I have a 3 GB a month plan listen to tons of Pandora and Tune-in and never have overage. YMMV

This is the application I downloaded from Apple store... it is free!
Search for radio tuner... you will find many..

At home I am always hooked up to wireless internet via WiFi.. so data is all free...
