Yes I'm happy with the M70 but I also love the thrill of the chase and to come home empty handed was a kick in the spondoolies!
So, my summation is:
1) Recyling shops only sell almost new stuff in perfect working order. This means NO BBX!
2) There is a sellers box market in Akihabra that has alot of vintage electronics - no BBX tho unless you are lucky.
3) Turbosonic is closed for the near forseeable future.
4) There are buyers in Japan (or US/Euro reps) buying up grails at good $$$. Non grails are still cheap and plentiful.
5) Stock that comes up for sale must be getting picked up on appliance rubbish days and those guys are funelling it to the "specialist" sellers.
6) The general Japanese person thinks you are crazy if you wanted such big gommi (rubbish) radiocsasa (radio cassettes)!!!!!
My wifes uncle in Japan turns out to be a Hi-Fi enthusiast so I hope I got him into the BBX hunting mode!
For me there's always next time!!
