Question regarding Hitachi TRK 7100H

Is anyone familiar with this boombox? I'm trying to hook up my phone to it via the Line In and can't figure out how to get it to play.

Any one have any pointers? Can provide pictures if that helps.

Check the function selectors to see if there is an aux input setting. You can also use a quality cassette adapter
.The cheap ones are useless.

Here are some pics I took. Why would it have Line In as an option but no Aux option?

Line in is your aux input .try connecting to the line in and switch the selector this line in and it should work fine.

Tried doing this an was sadly didn't work. Any other suggestions?

May just have to buy an FM transmitting and plug it in to my phone and play off the station.

Was this ever resolved? I'm curious as this is the box I'm finally getting tomorrow. It was the very first boombox I had as a teenager.
