Project "boombox shelves" is complete!

Finally, no more stacking my boomboxes in the BOOM ROOM! Bought shelves this morning and all the hardware. Fun project, and keeps the boomers safe


Here is the original attic rennovation to our house when I moved the bomboxes from the office up there:

I've been stacking them since I took them up there and luckily have had no accidents .



I still don't have the Wheely, Berecha, or my SCR-8 in the pictures/video.

Here is my CAD drawing but I ended up stacking them 2 deep in some places so I didn't have to use up the "tall wall" on the left. It was good to see the spacial layout after I measured each box to figure out some kind of layout and parts list for the shelving:

The straps you see on the M70s are original JVC straps! The one on the 838 is a junky replica strap that I made

Those shelves and the boomboom looks beautiful!

It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the boomers!

I would put foam or rubber covers on the arms holding those shelves, to avoid the top of the boomers accidentally bumping on them.

I too live in a house with a converted top floor and roof pitch....They can be tricky to utilize space!

Oddly, they get used the least!




I find myself wanting to get home from work and just stand up in the attic to stare at the boomers on the shelves. I don't know why, but being all straight and presented on a shelf really brings tears of joy to me
