Pretty Sure it's OK to do this... to my M90

Hello, Everyone:

I put deoxit on that Line-in/phono switch in the back, because it was seized up. Now it switches OK, but the line-in function still doesn' t work.

HOWEVER...

When I plug my lines into the line out, it works. Will this break anything?

I do notice the volume is higher when it's just on the radio, like it is the same volume on 2 for the radio as 5 for the computer, which I'm pretty sure doesn't matter. I also noticed the VU meters don't do anything when I do this.

Hi Holly, After treating with Deoxit you need to move the switch vigorously for a minimum of 30 times, then wait for a while and try if it is working well.

I think it is still dirty. It in now working half way there. This is a common problem with M90 and GF777.

I won't plug it to the line out.

Work on cleaning the line in switch well.

Holly did you take back off to actually spray into switch?. If not you might not be getting the cleaner into it to actually work

It smells RANK when I take the back off. STANKY!!!

Well, the little plastic straw fit into the switch hole, so I decided to be lazy. And the switch actually is not frozen anymore.
That's it.
And it smells like a bucket of squished butt holes in there.
