I know this happened a while ago but I just came across some videos of it and I have to say I am more than shocked :-O .
12 bullets? He was carrying "only" a knife?
What shocks me even more are the comments. Many people say he deserved to die and that the police did the right thing.
I have to say I disagree with that! :nonono:
This seems to have been an example to scare off anyone who even thinks of running around with a knife and threatening people. I know this guy was dangerous at this point and that the police had to do something. But come on - no warning shot? :-O
And even if they would have been forced to shoot - why on earth would it have to be a deadly shot?! :-O Can't they just shoot him in the leg and then arrest him with the small army of officers?
I was really shocked by this whole incident and just wanted to ask your opinions, especially the American members.

In this digital era where everyone in developed countries has a smartphone with camera and video capability we will surely see more and more of these kinds of things.

This looks like a case of "suicide by cop" to me.

I'm not sure what "Bowling For Columbine" has to do with this other than the fact that this guy obviously snapped, like the kid that shot up the school in Columbine.
