PLEASE Recommend EXTERNAL DVD Burner

I've had it with this brand... Samsung

I guess that's why it's called "SamSung"... Samtimes it burns, Sungtimes it DON'T!

Please recommend me something that'll do the job ALWAYS!

well that sounds wierd what operating system are you using ? did you try to unintall the software and reinstall?? i have had to do just that i have a hp buner and its been real good never had a problem,, but remember sometimes even the operating system can have hicups from time to time causing all kinds of havoc especially windows xp

If I had to choose an external DVD burner, I'd probably go with one of the newer HP models. Lite-On second.

I have XP, and I did uninstall it and reinstalled again with no luck

But it's come to the point where I wrote Amazon about it since I bought it in Dec. 2009 and I haven't been able to do barely anything with it. They've just refunded the money I spent on it. So I guess I'll get one of the new HP models out there and try again.
