Please help Lasonic TRC-931

Well apparently not all TRC 931's are created equal.
At least so far as the decks are concerned.
My lower deck is missing two keys so brother Jimmy says
No problem and sends me keys from a parts box, a beautiful full set.
Go to use them and they don't fit right.
They are not as wide as the originals. And The keys will not engage due to differences in the
Front casing as well. :hmmm:
So brother Jimmy says no problem I have the deck too just swap it out!
Awesome right?!
One would think so, but the front casing will not accept the deck either , and mounting posts don't line up.
So keys are not compatable nor are the decks.
SOOOOOOO,

Anyone want to trade a complete Lasonic deck and keys, for the keys I need including the black levers that the keys attach to????
OR I CAN PAY COLD HARD CASH for the two keys I need LMK
First pic will be my deck and the type of keys I need

Second pic will be the deck I am willing to trade for the two keys I need..

that seems 35 times harder than the mold for these 2 keys ... :hmmm:

Yes and so is chroming :lol:
Worst case senario that's what I will have to do.
It's a real pita though :no:

The 1st edition Lasonic deck is completely different than the 2nd edition!!!
Your 1st pic is 2nd edition and fully mechanical where the 2nd pic is 1st edition deck which actual goes into play position automatically using motor ;-)

I thought the opposite as the 1st deck pictured seemed like it was better constructed.
These are both fully mechanical decks though.
Lasonic 931 is really confusing to me as there are so many variations. :huh:
Some have auto reverse some don't some have head phone jacks some have VU on left some on right.
Different tuner graphic variations.
I'd like to see pics in chronological order of all the different ones from oldest to newest.
Oh BTW I guess I should have mentioned I am willing to pay cold hard cash for the two keys I need as well.
So if anyone has them please LET ME KNOW :thumbsup:

Frank sorry the 2nd pic must be out of 3rd edition which is mechanical but different deck. This is 1st edition with automatic heads.

I am really surprised no one here has a few spare keys :hmmm: :huh:

I'm sure something will come up!

The third edition are the same as the ones on the TRC-951

The ones from the 2nd edition are the same as the ones from the 975 and 935.

Frank, you said your 931 was a second edition....it must be an early production run of the 2nd edition I'm thinking :hmmm:

How'd you get your date code? I saw a tag inside mine but didnt make out a specific year. Is it the first 2 numbers or last? My 931 has deck keys like yours. Sorry, I have no spares.
