Plans annd Targets for 2011

Kinda got this idea from BlasterPunks thread.....Whats everybodys plans and targets for next year.

First of all ive got about 5 or 6 boxes that i dont really want. Im going to really make an effort to clean them up and sell them and if i have no luck then ive been quite inspired by alot of threads on here to try my hand at a bit of painting.

Second. Im going to be alot more selective about what i buy. Quality over quantity. Plus ive made 3 quite big boombox purchases at the end of this year so i have to watch the cash.

Third. Realistic targets. Really fancy a GF-9000 this year, i let one get away this year opting to go for my Unisef instead which i dont regret but kinda do
Also going to make an M70 a target. They dont come up that often over here and when they do they go for alot of money so i may look abroad.

The only "hard" target I can think of right now is the Sansui FX-300R. I have lost out on two auctions on eBay - one to a known member.

I wouldn't mind finagling my old Aiwa CS-880 back from somebody, but it's not high on the list. I'll do some more thinking.

well i think my plans are to finish some of my boxes, my plans is to build a new home and one of the rooms dedicate it to the boxes that way they look good and i can give them a bit more love they deserve

1. Panasonic 5350
2. Aiwa 880
3. Toshiba S90
4. Panasonic 7700
5. Conion CF100

...in that order. I will have 3 off that list by January, the other 2 hopefully by summer...

Crown CRC-970
and a Bolt box.

I've had a very, very good year on the blaster in 2010, mainly thanks to yahoo.jp. But all that will come to an end in April
when my friend over there comes back to .au.

Around 90% of my collection is working, which is awesome and something I've really strived for.

I wish all my extended family on boomboxery all the blasterkarma you need to make your ghettodreams come true.

For me for 2011 a career job so I can by more boxes and go to the 2011 Sunshine meating that I enjoyed a lot thanks to all the members that were all there.

1) Hope to find a good house to buy, most houses for sale in my area the last year have been the undesirable and or crap condition.
2) New car after buying a new to me house.
3) Start repairing the many boxes that are awaiting service.

Box want list:
Sharps GF-9000, GF-9696
Lasonics - TRC920, TRC931, TRC922, TRC975 and another 3 piece my mother owned but can't recall the model.
Toshibas - S90, Bombeat 40

My plans for new year is to finish a couple of repairs I am currently working on One is the Lasonic TRC931 3rd edition that I got real cheap but oh so clean I just sent the Volume control for rebuild to Norm and waiting on new belts for deck 1 Plus waiting on belts for the GE 3-5286, another super clean boomer I got for around $30 shipped Plus waiting on a handle from Old School Scott I will have pics as soon as cleaning and repairs are complete One other goal i do have is to try and chop my shortlist down

Much like others here, I need to do some belts and other service work on my radios. My goal is to build a glass shelving system
as a nice display area. But I don't want to put any radio up that needs work. They can only be displayed if they are 100%.

I really don't have any radio's on my "List". But that could change.

By the end of 2011 I'd love to have purchased a nice condition Sharp GF-A2. Aiming very high though, I want my own JVC RC-M90, as does almost every person on here. A 1st edition Conion C-100 would be nice too, but the chance of me getting one of those is even slimmer than me getting an M90, I'm sure of it.

My plans and targets for this year???
Fix the odds and ends on the ones I now have and keep my eyes open for boxes in the wild.
I'd like to finally score my first Sanyo this year and if I'm lucky a Tecsonic super jumbo or any aka.
Oh, and sell or trade a couple. Still gotta keep the numbers reasonable I was thinking at most a dozen but I'm now up to 15. It's getting harder to decide which to let go.

Well i got my GF-9000, its a bit rough around the edges but i love it all the same.

Still not picked up an M70 yet but did pick up its little brother the 656 which im very impressed with for its size.

My favourite buys of the year are my Conion C126, my loudest box, and My Audio Sonic 8900 (Conion H28), my best looking box.

I did sell a few to try and keep the collection under 20, but still bought more than i sold and spent to much, happy days
