Picked these up today, very nice Pioneer SX-980 receiver & Pioneer CT-F9191 Tape Deck. These are just georgeous together, look at all that silver beauty. Would love to keep them but I just don't have the room so I'm offering them up here first - If someone is interested, make me an offer.
The receiver is in great working condition. Both right and left channels are strong with only minor occasional scratchy volume. These can be easily fixed by a good cleaning. The FM and STEREO light don't light up even when a station is picked up clear. The bulbs may just need to be replaced, all other lights are working. Other than that nothing wrong with the receiver, it is in very clean condition with only minor scratches. The wood cabinet shows a little aging but otherwise it is free of major scratching or breakage.
The deck is in working condition, play, Fw & Rew all work. Fw & Rew are a little weak but it still winds the cassette ok after it gets going. The heads look good, hardly any signs of wear. Occasional feedback on one channel but if you play with the Dolby & EQ buttons the feedback goes away and the sound is good. These switches I'm sure could use a cleaning. There is a scratch on the left side of the wood cabinet, about 5 inches long.
If you're interested make me an offer, would rather sell both together. Would rather not ship, but I will if pay the freight for these very, very heavy units. It would not be cheap, I would guess about 40-50 lbs.
