Sort of a strange find for me--there was pretty much zero background on this Pioneer Sk-300 on the net----I was surprised when it arrived---especially it's size---it's way bigger than i thought viewing the web photo's---a 21 long--nice and wide? All in all a basic box--zero accessories, limited controls and outputs-
the catch is it sounds excellent--big full and more than enough bass for my Jazz tapes---it has sort of a zen like styling compared to my other boxes---everything works--although there is a bit of random static--when operating the tape player? I am somewhat at a loss as to how to work on that--?? Maybe try the "clean the headphone jack" advice I've read here? Anyway given the price and the sound I am very happy----can't understand why there's not more information out there on this model?003.JPG002.JPG

Was watching this one, good call mate it looks class
Thanks---
It's a nice overall sounding box--if you see another one in this shape--don't hesitate...
the static issues cleared up with some contact cleaner on the selector switch--

Reminds me of a JVC M80 with those waffle grills only smaller. Pioneers are quality  I like it.

It looks to be just the same as my SK-350 but with waffle grilles instead of the mesh. I really like the sound of it and use my SK-350 as my bathroom box.

You hear everyone knocking the tone only boxes but when they sound better than boxes with bass and treble controls, I know which one I want.
