during 2012 --we have lost SIX family friends --all were in the same age group as most of you guys on here-
all overdosed from the combo of xanax and alcohol --which suddenly STOPPED THEIR HEARTS :thumbsdown: ... forever

most recent --was last nite -
i met an old friend yesterday afternoon who recently graduated from jail & rehab -and all that shitttte,,
he looked 100% clear and healthy -- was telling me how great it was to finally get free & clean -

showed me a photo of his newborn son-
was excited about his new great career job and the house he was about to buy-
planned to come here over today -- as the surf is up....
i cleared a parking space for him --but ... no show ?

last nite --he ODed and died :huh: :'-( :sadno: :sadno:

it was xanax and beer -- what a bummer.

i suppose many of you know people with this same addiction --
be careful--
these type pills are more unpredictable than ANYTHING

Hey Ira, I'm real sorry to hear that.

I don't play with pills...I get my kicks on music and blasters...add some beer and a little :weed: and I'm topped off.

If I want to OD, it's on the female form.... :drool:

So many more people are hurt when a person slips one pill too many....that's the real "Downer" :-/ :thumbsdown:

I"m really, really sorry to hear this, Ira.

I'm sad for the loss of your friend and especially sad for the child who will grow up without his father. :sad:

Damn. What a tragedy. I had no idea that Xanax and booze was so deadly. Friends of mine used to do that mix every weekend, but Xanax just puts me to sleep so I never understood the point.

ok --at least is all good to learn that you guys know better -
and dont need//use this poison ..

and - yes -
its been well documented that the beer & box compo extends life by 6 to 9 years :-)

That's tragic. Very sad to hear. My biggest vice is Motrin & Coffee (in the morning). Necessary to get these old bodyparts moving in the morning. Then, it's off to the Buffets! :-D

Knees, Back, Ankles,etc. (ankles due mostly to Gymnastics). Old Footbal injury- I fell off the sideline bench while reaching for the gatorade :w00t:

Legal drugs are killing more people than the illegal drugs, I mean there are drugs that the Feds says it would kill you and that its why there is a war on illegal drugs.

I say no more war on drugs stop spending trillions of dollars on this war and start with legalization and let each state take control of it, tax it to high heaven control the amount to purchase and set an age limit for buying. Create a program to educate people on how to use these drugs.

Hard drugs such as Crack, Meth, and Heroine should be banned from legalization!

This would help stop all the killings in Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and more....

Keep in mind there will always be a black market but it will eventually lose its grip slowly once more people steer clear from it and move towards in a legal matter.

I belong to a group called L.E.A.P. law enforcement against prohibition check out their web site. These law abiding officers that have been on the beat for years and have seen so many young men & women serve time in jail ruining their life forever it is sad. They made so many arrest and still its like a cancer that just won't stop growing.

I believe by having it declared illegal it is doing more harm than good to our youths. Its been more than 40 yrs. since Nixon declared this war has it worked?

NO!

Take some time and do some research on how much it has cost us last I heard was 9 trillions dollars since the Nixon Admn. that's enough to load a mile long cargo train in one hundred dollar bills.

Why is it that the ones making the legal drugs are not being condemn also.
