Some of you will be wondering why I painted my boomer dark purple, well there is a story behind that. My daughter was in my computer room looking at my boomer's and asked if she could have one. I said yes, of course, and asked which on she liked. She pointed to the Blockbuster and I happily showed her how everything worked. She fell in love with the sound and the fact that she could play her ipod through it. She took it to her room and put it on her book shelf and started calling all her friends (she's only 10). They all came over and loved her "old school" radio. Then she came to me with a sad look on her face and said "Dad I love my radio but it doesn't match the colors in my room". Her room is purple so I knew what that meant. I told her I would paint it and the rest is history. Good news is I LOVE the way it turned out and there is another boomer fan in the house! Enjoy the pics...

....thanks Norm, but my daughter gets credit for making me paint it. Although I have to say I like how it came out. Definitely gives it more character...

Is that the one you got from Skippy??? One of the two he got from me via a trade??? If so it is nice to see it has gone to a good home.... I just had them sitting in a cabinet, never used. I have an 11 year old daughter so I know how important it is that things "match".... maybe I will have to paint one of my other boxes for her room....
