Hi-I recently got a Lasonic TRC-975 from Blufuz and it desperately needs a volume pot as it's shot!
Here's some photos of the volume pot and I need a new one or a 3 pot board!!
If someone can succesfully rebuild one of these I'd gladly pay someone.
I heard it for a little while and it really sounds great but the volume was so bad I could barely get it to come on at all.
It's now shot as there is no resistance at all and the insdies are completely worn out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks and have a good one.
:-)

Looks like a "NOBLE" brand POT.

"T NOBLE" 3BM50K L

Maybe you can get ahold of that company and see if they have any or can rebuild yours  :hmmm:

I looked inside of 2 different TRC-951 boxes today and they both have the same volume pot as the TRC-975.......

Sorry Joe,I've been really busy the last few days!

I'll let you know when I see what I'm going
to do.
I'd like to send the 3 pot board all together
out to someone who can repair or rebuild it.
I'm not sure I will have time in the near future
to do this myself.
Thanks for checking.
PS-I'd like to get another one or a parts box.
Love this when it did boom for a little when the
volume was working!!'
Have a great weekend-Jeff. :-)

Wow Jeff, I hope this works out for you. That link free economy shipping (from China). That shipping cost would be more than $5.99. How much more economic can that be?

I know the one you need is a 50K pot and this one is 100K - I'm not sure what that means as far as the functionallity, maybe Norm can chime in :hmmm: . Looks close enough to me, I would try it.

Hi Joe and Adam!
Just haven't seen this!
I'm watching it now and if you think it will fir sure work without
wrecking anything if it isn't compatable.
Thanks I'll look into this, just hope my soldering gun and skills are
good enough,my iron isn't the best.
Have a happy new year! :-)

Just remember to use suction to get off all solder on joints when removing the old pot. Makes it easier and cleaner, also helps so board don't break

I use a vacuum hose with a cap off of a hair color bottle or simular with long narrow tip.. You use tape wrapped around to hold in place. Works beautiful but you just gotta make sure solder is melted before you put vacuum up to it or solder won't melt because suction cools it down

Don't know if I'm too late for this thread but I have a LPC-81 that fell on me and broke apart. Would you know if the pots are the same? If so let me know. I'll have to take it apart to snap a pic of it. Been busy so I haven't been on the forum as much as I've been used to. Hope I can help save this iconic radio for ya.

Oh boogie, there might be one that is the same in your LPC-81. I know that the LPC-81 potentiometer shafts are all spline and not "D" shape though...... :hmmm:

Hi Joe!
I just might try your advice and try that vacumn trick.
I haven't been feeling very well lately but still want to get this going.
I'm hoping if I buy this pot it will work.
I'll most likely get it by this weekend if you think it will work.
I appreciate your advice and assistance on this.
Have a good one.
GB. :-)

Hey JEFF! :w00t:

I am working on my Wheely right now and I believe the wheely has the EXACT SAME VOLUME POT you need! I'm going to check it over again soon and confirm it is the same one you need. If it is, you can PM some other members here that are parting out some wheelies.

Maybe Glu has one or blasterpunk!!!!!!

Hey Joe,that sounds good.
I just haven't bought that potmon eBay yet because I don't know
for sure if it will fit correctly.
I'm concerned about the base of it fitting correctly.
Thanks Joe I appreciate you helping me find this still.
Have a great weekend! :-)
