This was actually the last box that I owned, unfortunately I used it on jobsites and it eventually would not power up. It was a pretty nice radio, with good bass. The look was a little plasticky though. Anyone have one?

It reminds me of some of those Sony Xplod units, which don't sound bad at all.

I have one. :yes: Bought it new! :-D

It is a great boombox. 10 watts RMS (bridged design) into each 6 ohm speaker (massive heatsink on the amp chip). Thick foam surround on the speakers. WOOX technology passive woofer. Adjustable (via a menu) bass, mid, and treble...

It sounds very, VERY nice. :thumbsup: Mine is minty and in storage, since I think not many were made.

I listen to it every once in a while. :breakdance:

The "stock" pic doesn't do it justice. Those outside speakers have some serious "throw" to them.

@Vienna: Get one!!! :yes:

Mine was pretty well destroyed. I haven't seen any for sale. I think they came out in the early 2000's. I would probably buy one if I saw it for the right price. I think it was only about $80 brand new at Kmart!

well i have a goodmans 'rugged power' boombox that not only looks to date from the same period but looks very similar to it to be honest,like there was a 'tie in' with philips regarding production.now before all you guys who are true vintage boombox collectors think ive gone mad,ie goodmans,let me tell you you woulnt believe the bass it has.its rated at 58 watts,and believe me i have had it right up there.if the philips sounds anywhere near as good as the goodmans then its a must-have-and believe me im a purist too but but when i heard this and its power,i just had to have it. :yes: now im definately looking out for this philips.trust me guys,i hate modern gadgets and i- this and that but heres the exception. :drool:

Those were sold on Amazon for only $90 back in 2004. The Euro equivalent is the AZ2558. Be aware that the passive radiator might be cracked, and you will need to repair it with glue because I doubt there are parts available.
