I've always wanted to get these 2 boxes, the Sharp GF-787 and Sharp QT-7S, together for some photos because of the obvious styling similarities:

Looking back at the prices I paid for these years ago: ¥2100 for the GF-787, ¥2600 for the QT-7S. Both fully working, great physical condition.

Very nice as always Mono. :-)

Do the grilles on the 787 pop off or do you have to take her apart to get them off?
Just wondered coz I've got one in the mail ;-)

Thanks man.

I've got the tabs bent so I can take 'em off and put 'em back on at will.

Nice, MONO! I'd really like to see that pearl white paint in person. I bet it is really beautiful.

What are the differences between the QT-7 and the GF-7? Fundamentally they look like pretty much the same box with a minor cosmetic difference here and there. The GF-7 has a shortwave tuner, but what else?

artistic photoshoot!!!!great idea putting the baby and the granddaddy together  ive had them both (well, the 575 version of course)and i remember being amazed at how great the gf7 sounds....come to think of it i wouldnt mind another gf7.....found my first one in the bottom of a bag of scrap electrics....in a seperate plastic bag, still with its owners manual strapped around it :w00t: unfortunately i killed it trying to get the deck fixed and couldnt put it back together then so it went off for recycling....a very sad day indeed, but yours look gr8 ;-)
