Park Pirates cologne

hiiii there!
i was on an amazing event last weekend.. its drom the "park piraten" (park pirates) in cologne (germany) and often on sunday..
well they got an old shopping cart with 2 turntables and mixer, batteries and a own short range radio transmitter..
they put this thing in the park and everyone with a boombox can come, turn on there station and turn up the volume till the box explodes )

(well this time was it on another party so they had electricity but its usually "batteries-only")

its really an amazing idea because the more people with boxes come, the bigger the soundsystem, and they also have some crazy portable soundwagon with boxes inside..

they have a facebook page and if u are in cologne with your blaster then u should be there ))


here are some pics, i learned about this from fresh_bacon (thanks for the tip hope to see u next time there ) ) and it was really awesome..
our jvc m90 and aiwa 660 were making lots of noise .. the crown was ehhmm a lil ehh broken but was looking awesome

well they told me its just a lil cheap 40euro box u see on the closeup..
i hope the weather on next sunday is good again then ill be there again.. the guys allready told me "you gotta bring your aiwa, we are counting on you" *g )

they also did this last week when we had super summer weather and there were about 200 people in the park, its really the best thing for your boombox , just running on batteries and playing radio )..

no need for cables and other stuff the only problem is there are not so many boomboxcollectors around ..
and i have a nice shoulderstrap for my aiwa so i can carry it with my bike.. on my way home (when i was of course not totally drunken) i just turned on my boombox riding my bike and the people around looked totally perplexed )

heheh yeah i hope the weather on sunday will rock ...
oh by the way the guy who owned that partyplace last sunday was totally flashed by the idea and even offered them to do a "sunday matinee" every sunday at his place.. but i think they prefer a park..
