I recently serviced a Panasonic RX-DT680 and was testing the equalizer switches. All had good dramatic effect except for 1 KHz lever. It didn't seem to have much effect and actually could have been none (placebo effect)! I'm just checking if it isn't just a false one and actually does nothing? I know the music is mostly around that level so might not have much effect, e.g. hard rock music.
