panasonic RX-C39 play stuck

Just bought a Panasonic rx-c39 and the play button and mech are in the play position but i can't get them to disengage.the play head and roller are just locked up, wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue before? :dunce:

No worries!
You need to open up the unit, slowly turn the flywheel manually to disengage from the play mode. It will turn to one direction to free it.
This mainly happens when the drive belts elongate and slip. :yes:
You have to change the drive belts also. :yes:
