I think the question should really be, "What are you willing to pay for one?" Then find one at that price or below. ;-)

Well I can tell you how much the one in the pic was since it was mine!...that's my garden in the background

that one I got for the ridiculously cheap price of £18! :)

Don't mind at all using the pic and yes it was stupidly cheap! Got a really nice sound to it. I traded mine for a nice Sharp GF9494 but I'd pick up another, especially if it was £18! :)

You pretty much have to do like Fatdog says and find one on eBay and bid your highest price your willing to go. I have seen the 5250 go as high as $200 and as low as $0  But if you really want one you pay as much as you can because they don't come up as often as 5150 ;-)

I've seen them go for more than $300, but that was a few years ago. Prices of non-grails or semi-grails (like the 5250) have gone down in my opinion, because Ebay has become saturated with them. Regular people (not us) have discovered that people actually buy these things. So you've got every tom dick and harry slapping theirs on Ebay.

Another example is the RX-5500, one of them sold for $700 about 3-4 years ago :-O but now they only sell for $150-250.

Same with a GE 3-6035-- I put one on Ebay at least a year ago, I think. I got $300 for it, but the buyer backed out, because some a-hole listed his while mine was still up (and even copied part of my description). Since then, a bunch of other wannbes have tried to sell theirs too, and the resulting over-supply has driven the prices down to $60-80.

As you know the price can go higher based on the condition. A like new condition one might go way higher in price.
I know. I'll go as far as my budget can afford. If I win lucky me, if not, i guess better luck next time :-)
