Surfing.
Cricket (the backyard variety with locally adapted rules, Over the fence is out etc)
Backs and Fore's ( a mindlessly boring game where a football is kicked and caught, then kicked back between two people or groups, games can last for days with no apparent result)
Skateboarding.

Surprisingly there's a small group of breakdancers here in the city, they seem to be most active on a Thursday night, I lolled at their ipod dock last time I walked past them.

Hide the sausage is a big indoor sport here in Oz.. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

SB --gorgeous world down there

your country has produced some of the best major league baseball players :-O

Thanks so much Mr. Ira, you're welcome to come to Mérida (as the rest of you) whenever you like!
I forgot to mention that there's also: Canyoning, Paragliding, White Water Rafting and plenty o' smokepotting :weed:
NOTE: Do please call at least 2 days in advance so I can wash the sheets and add some water and salt to the soup!

And yes, baseball season just started here, and things get pretty passionate about the sport! If you come we'll go to a game and drink some beer and eat some hot dogs with some fine young ladies, my treat!

do you drink cervesa schneider there --
or is it for argentina only ?

Nope, no Schneider here Mr. Ira, but there are plenty of really GOOD beers here. Venezuela has been the home to many great nationalities (immigration) like: Italians, Spanish, Portuguese AND Germans! So...
The biggest (best) brand here? Cerveza POLAR, founded in 1941 along with the knowledge of German Biermeisters...
Now, let's enjoy their Venezuelan Señoritas advertisements for 2010 shall we?... Oohh yeah....
