Definitely is China - Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

The city maybe is Kashgar which is located on the far west end of China in the border with Kazakhstan.

However there are bilingual advertisements and banners because the big part of population is Uyghurrs, and they have their own alphabet and language.

yeah well some people are oblivious to what a culturally diverse region of the world china is. there was little or no doubt of it being china when i saw the photo. there is a lot of ignorance when it comes to what people think a chinese person is.

by no means was it a slam towards you at all. my post was not directed towards you at all. you are right it does look quite a bit like pakistan!!!!! it was not a slam towards anyone to be honest.
it in fact was regarding my post where i said this was china and was told in no uncertain terms it was not :-D
i mean a lot of people basically think bejing or hong kong when they think of china.
i agree with you it does look like the area of pakistan which borders china. in fact i am pretty sure before people drew a line between these two places these were and still are basically the same people. not sure if you would see chinese signs in pakistan now tho

Sorry Bill, yeah I live in a very multicultural country (Australia) and my wife is Japanese so sensitive to that kind of slight (although not directed at me :eek:) ).

How about Japan (I know not pic), still loads of cheap boxes over there.

Looking at a couple of GF-909's (GF-777) for under $100 aus.

I remeber seeing piles in the Denki Town in Osaka. At that stage not into BBX so didn't bat an eyelid.
