Over a month ago I lost my almost 17 year old papillon dog Gizmo. It was hard but I was expecting it to happen soon cuz of her age. Well I decided to adopt a beautiful Siberian Husky Emma off Craigslist. She's 3.5 years old full bred. Fixed and healthy. I've always wanted a Husky but was afraid because of the horror stories of them being destructive. Well so far she has been a great dog and I love her already. I know Jimmy Brklnsound also has 2 Huskies and is very happy. He also shared plenty of info with me. Thank you bro 👍. Anyone else here have a Husky?

Nice looking dog Bill. I've always been a fan of buying young adult dogs - you know what you're getting with a dog that's beyond the puppy stage. Your Husky looks to have nice, relaxed nature.

You've done well,

Enjoy,

James... :-)

Beautiful new member of the family Bill
do you have some open free land so your husky can roam without a leach ?
around my hood --every dog lives their entire lives on leashes = suks

Gorgeous puppy Bill, and kudos for adopting. My last dog was a husky cross and a rescue also, and full of attitude! Been around them most of my life too as my niece has always had them for almost 25 years, mostly in pairs.

Jimmy is right that they are a handful, but given the right attention and exercise they will follow you (or lead you, lol) anywhere. He did it right with having 2 as they are very pack oriented so the tendency to destroy things is lessened while your out. I see a mat or blanket beside her on the floor, maybe lie down there or elsewhere in the house, she should like that and bond big time, though don't be be surprised if she isn't all that 'cuddly', but seeing as she may be out of sorts a bit, that may be different for her.

A tendency to bolt and hunt for sure, and they very much like to get up high to look around their settings. If you can construct a 'perch' or stoop per say so she can get up at least 4-6 feet at the edge of your property I am sure you will find her up there lots, keeping watch over things.

Oh, they are also escape artists too! They can and will climb fences to get out, lol.

Sounds like she is doing fine so far and again, great choice!

Here's my Sam a few years back, she has been gone now 2 years.

Thank you 😀 so far so good she's doing excellent 👍 I raked her today and she wasn't happy about it but got lots of the loose fur off her. Just got to take her to vet for checkup otherwise I already have her registered.

Adorable Emma! She is so cute!

See my German Shepherd baby boy!

Here is my 3 year old child 120 pounds big boy Duke! He is full of smiles!

We had him when he was barely 6 weeks.

Your husky is a pretty girl Bill.

This is Jazz the Dalmation. He's 11, not very bright but a handsome boy and a spoilt pooch.
