opening a pany RX-7000

Hi there ! I'm trying to fix several stuffs in my panasonic RX-7000 but I can't manage to open it I removed all the screws from the backside (also the 2 ones located in the battery room) I get the upper part to move a bit, but the lower part (with the tuner) seem to be unmovable, is there some hidden screws or something like this to find to open it ?

Remove the 2 locknuts securing the pot shafts or you'll break the case if you force it. Remove the knobs and you'll see.

ok thanks but wow how can I unscrew them, I can't even put my scremdriver in it and when I manage to reach the screwhead with a really small one, the screwdriver is really not in the good axe, is there a tricky way to do it ?

they are not screws they are nuts and u need a small long needlenose plier to undo them once u take them out the front case will come off oh and remember to take off the cassette deck door it would be the outer plastic window it un hooks ...

no way ! i'll keep my avatar as longer as I can (in fact I use the same on almost every board I've signed up since around 10 years) and thanks a lot for the pany, i've found the nuts and i'll be able to open it , for the moment I got no real technical problem on it, i'm just restoring it cosmeticaly ( I'm on the way to remove all the knobs, buttons and other parts to clean them really hard to get it nearly mint ), in fact i'm on the way to sell it, and some others of my collection cause i'm starting a new project with 2 friends (in a totally different way, as we are graphic designers, we need to buy lots of materials and tools to build stuffs, and we are currently on a big project, and each of us are trying to bring money on our own, and i'll try to make a bit of my part of the job around boomboxes as this is a passion it's funnier for me) so this RX-7000 will quit me in a few weeks I think, I'll tell you on this board so I need to give him a second youth to start a new life somewhere else
