Hello

I'm a fan of great sounding units - so JVC's of the 90's, the black plastic bombs with the 3D Hyper Bass, is a must have for me. Those granddad of the RV series is not as loud as the Kaboom, but has a clear sound with a great sub-bass. I already owned about 20 different versions of these RC-/PC-units, and found now a big one (no beauty), cheap (7 Euros at ebay) with a superb sound. If you could find one, go for it!

Best wishes
TOM

Hmm... :hmmm: I've seen a couple of these over the years at thrift stores and just kept on walking. If I ever see another one cheap, REALLY cheap, I just might take a chance. Portions of it remind me of the Cobra units from Panasonic.

it doesn't really look bad ass though- if you listened to that vs a massive boomer with your eyes closed it might sound better, but with eyes open you'd always assume the bigger box would sound better/louder

appearances can be deceiving it seems

That's how it is with the Sansui FX-500 mini. It sounds about 20 times bigger than what it really is. :-)

I once had a JVC RC-X510, and with its 'Hyper-Bass Sound' function, it really did sound amazing. It was a bit ugly though. The RC-X610 is better looking in my opinion.

This RC-X 720 is one of the bigger units -

came with a remote control. For shure it got a real Subwoofer build in, but I can't test it because it's a one piecer. But you can't get such a deep bass just out of those small 10 cm speakers ... great, full sounding bbox with a deep dusty bass. The way I love it ...

Next time don't walk by - get this unit and it will surprise you!
