moved into victory lane today on ebay --
won this old fella for 33 $ shipped--

seller said there was no battery cover -
but she had no idea WHO TF she was dealing with

further said --this is one of the oldest boxes -
that may be right

but they were dull grey and all banged up-

the sound is ok,but honestly of all my portable 8 tracks this one sounds the worst, it is cool though,in aqua blue

I've consider snagging one of those from Ebay in the past.Though the red looks really cool,I'm particularly fond of turquoise and always have been (yes,I also actually liked the color on school and hospital walls of that era ). I really wouldn't care if it didn't have top notch sound though.Its all what you expect.Don't compare it to anything.Just turn it on and enjoy it !There are even many old transister radios I would love to have.Personally I just like the style of anything from that era ('60s).
