And for GCC I mean Great Cosmetic Conditions!

So here the story, some days ago I found a rare box on internet here in italy, never seen one before in the last 4 years of hunting..The price was really cheap (only 120 €) but the seller unfortunatly didn't want to ship the box. I gave him a call, begging him for selling the box to milan! I got things working and he sold me the boombox!!!
I explained him very well how carefully he had to pack the boombox and he send me a giant pack!ahah!I anyway was lucky because he packed it only with cardboard, paper blasted and a cloth (?!!?). You can't understand how I felt when I found out the conditions of the boombox..I mean, it looks like new!!no scratches or something else..perfect plastic and chrome parts..it seems new. The only exception is for 3 MQJS keys that seem got stucked into the box..
About functions: tapes don't work, radio and else works!Anyway I think I will get it fully repaired!
About sound: it sounds great, but it has a strange sound propagation..I think it's because of passive radiators?!
I love those big vu meters, they remind me sharp gf 1000 meters!
And now..pictures!

That is like one of the best deals I've heard of!

Just look at it!
Unbelievable man, massive congratulations!

Congrats dude. WX-1 is amazing machine. The problem can be with changed speakers - check em if they are properly connected and so. For me nothing can beat passive radiators in the world of boomers. If those changed speakers are too stiff with small movement they can cause the problem. Not a biggie. You can find matching speakers easy and bring back the deep bass

Well, now that I have heard it better I can say that it has a strange way of sounding, but strange doesn't mean bad!I have tested it to max volume and there aren't any speakers sounding bad!It sounds very great and it has a nice way of filling the room, different and in my opinion better from other boxes in my hand (777, trc 931 and m-70 in primis). This box came from the nephew of an old collector that unfortunatly died some months ago..The nephew told me that his uncle had a 767 a philips/magnavox d8444 and some other smaller thant these one; I think he bought this toshiba personally 25 years ago..really, guys, it doesn't have scratch!Plastic, chrome, everything seems in new conditions!Unbelievable!!I noticed now (cause it's night here!) that leds are always on..I think that I won't take their key to be repaired, it look so well with led always on!!

Thank you to all the other guys for congratulations!!

Andrea, a happy guy from Italy!

Welcome to the Wx-1 club!! If you ever happen to open it please take plenty of pictures of those speakers inside and out. They look great in my opinion. Make sure they are 6 ohms. Congrats on the purchase.

Happy that this monster sounds like must be again. Use to have 3 of them and recently found a spare set of cabinets with speakers which went to save Rado's ( one of my ex) WX-1  . Love those monsters and the technology hidden inside. Really probably the greatest ever boomer IMO
I love the lights lit all the time too. Enjoy it Andrea
