North To Alaska...

Hey Guys,

I'll be searching the thrift stores and garage sales of Alaska next week as I am heading to Alaska to visit my daughter. Actually, I doubt there will be any thrift stores or garage sales as she lives on the tiny island of Wrangle, AK. But I am hoping to bring up the subject with any and everyone I meet in hopes I could find something! HEY, You Never Know Maybe someones got an old blaster tucked away in and igloo or something

I leave this afternoon, will be back on the 22nd. She just moved to a new house and doesn't have internet yet, but might in a few days. Hopefully I'll be able to get online and find a radio to report in with! (you gotta love my optimism)

There is a small chance we might head into Canada for the day and we all know that is the motherland of C100's (yep, more of that optimism)

Anyway, wish me luck!

Nope, she used to be Helicopter Fire Fighter, now she works for a marine company that handles outboards, boating equipment and snowmobiles.

Hey Guys, Just checking in....Been doing some fishing...The local town has a King Salmon fishing derby....of which I am solidly in 8th place with a 27.7 pounder!

It's really beautiful here....





I also caught a Halibut....

Hey Guys, Thanks....Have had limited cell and internet connections. Been fishing, hiking and sleeping...barely had time for beer drinking (I squeezed some in), I did manage to find the local Salvation Army but only one small black egg, Not looking good for finding a radio....

What was the temperature out at time of hike? Jeannie and I while watching it kept thinking it was Friday the 13th with Jason and thought the sound effects would have been cool

I would have to do that trail in reverse order That place is pure heaven to Me. God's country. Give Me that place or a tropical beach with turquoise water/ snow white sand any time.
