Hi,I've been working on restoring & fixing up my 87'GMC High Sierra. 2500.
I just bought a new HQ brass 195 thermostat from NAPA and got 2 gallons of Prestone and some Prestone Super Flush and flushed my system yesterday.
All went well and luckily the stuff in there wasn't rusty or very dirty.
No leaks, all is good and I used my Prestone tester and it's good to -40 or like 275 boiling point!
Right on!!
Now to put in my new speaker cabinet in the back behind the seat this weekend and my Pioneer digital AM/FM cassette deck.

The cabinet holds 2 6.5's and 2 3" tweeters.

Next will be 1 hubcap and a complete rear brake job.
Yes this is coming along nicely!😀😎🚛🚚

not everybody has the money to go out and buy a nice vehicle , so we have to fix em' up ourselves. least wise there's no electronic bull malarky and micro chip's spying on you while you drive. i love the older vehicles , it's easy to be farking lazy and buy something nice already and let other people work on your shiat then drive off all proud. why is it people see an old ass beat up boombox and have no problem fixing it up but those same people cant appreciate a beat up truck. i work on my own vehicles because i wouldn't trust these ****ing stupid ass garages to work on a big wheel.

Nicely said Floyd!
Yes when I first got my truck it was a little beat up but no rust and only 52,000 miles.
So I've been fixing it up slowly as I'm only working PT and I have way to many boomboxes!!😮📟💳📻
Floyd has seen some photos as I think Jimmy has.
Yes it's 100% stock down to the original tailpipes!
Different mufflers though.
350 Fuel injection,as a matter of fact more horsepower and torque than any other 1980's 350 made! I look up parts and it comes up as being the Corvette engine!😮😎
Incredible power and great torque for a 87' 3/4 Ton.
Does have a Holmes Utility Box with locking doors.
5th.wheel. Super HD 1Ton suspension.
Positraction rear limited slip front. Its nuts.
Manual transmission with Super low and loaded.
I will have it where I'll be mostly done for total driving by spring.
I'll post a couple of photos soon.
😎🚚🚛😮

That's funny Floyd! I like those old Sanford and Son trucks!😎
I personally think it's time for a 48' or 49' Chevrolet car!! Beautiful good running cars with the straight 6.😎😀
Just have to finish getting the rear brakes done and new shocks and a few little parts and I'll be done for a little while in May.
Then to locate an older 1940's Chevrolet!!😎😀

Yours? I always thought the '51-'52 Ford looked like a mean version of my '49 (my avatar). Looks like it's showing teeth.

This was from Sanford and son tv show 😉
