The one up at the moment is AZA's, good to see he is getting some decent action on one of his listings.

I kind of regret giving mine away recently, although it was a bit rough

oh oh nice! I'll keep an eye on that one - might have to fix mine up and sell it!

Missing Woofer...

Mids need refoaming...

Cassette player inop

VU's don't move much with line-in, don't move at all with radio.

Everything else seems to work ok.

This will get some Rock love.

Nice one! Can't tell from this pic, is this the blue version or the black? Good luck getting it back to life! I have one on its way in similar condition, hope to be able to revive it too.

Wow nice find!

The passive woofer will be chilling inside the unit, the foam perishes and it falls away.

Please don't replace the speakers! Get the originals refoamed. I can get foam surrounds, so if you can't find the right sizes PM me...

Shone a torch in the hole can't see a speaker anywhere lol, but I'll pull the back off and take a look, I'll be sure to contact you re: the foam :-)

You would know if the passive was in there, it's not a small part. Nice pick up by the way, not many of these in Oz

Check the forum as others have used a replacement passive (Polk audio) and have been happy with the results

Hi Wills, what's the problem with replacing the speakers? Are the originals really that good?

The passive is a flat disc, so it definitely could have shifted inside if the box was thrown around in someones car.

I would keep the original speakers, firstly, because anyone buying/swapping the box in the future will look for originality, secondly, they're they right impedence and size, and thirdly, they will have soft suspension that will work well with the passive set up.

Did you end up getting knobs for this? I have 4 if you want them.

No longer have the box, thanks anyway. I think Sony APM Fan got it off me.

The first ones you do will be daunting and take you ages, after you've done about four speakers you'll realise how easy it is...

Easy to start with the passive as there is no voice coil to center, start by fixing to the disc (radiator) then when that dries fix it to the frame. My first refoam was a pair of passive radiators on a pair of realistic speakers.

Well I'm going to have to learn how and find out where to get the bits to do it, I was quoted $95 a speaker to do them by Speakerbits in Melbourne then frieght and a handling fee...

Box cost me $10... no way in hell I'm spending over $300 on it!...

Gave it a bath and removed and painted the front grill, the chrome around the holes is still there and looks good camera just isn't picking it up.
