New house needs new blaster display! I made some kick ass floating shelf brackets and 2x8 lumber for this setup. Still not enough shelf space but it will do. I think I'm only missing my TDK 3 speaker from the group photo and my parts boxes.
Love the look, very happy.
2x8 boards cut to length and in the paint booth, just finished spraying some clear poly on.

1/4" thick 1-1/2" tall steel plates with 1/2" rod plug welded to them to make the wall brackets. Pre-drilled and countersunk screw holes for the stud locations. Rods stick out about 6-1/4" from the plate.

Wall shot before starting install.

First bracket mounted, all the pre-drilled screw holes line up, yippie!

First board has the 1/2" holes marked on center and drilled to line up with the 1/2" rods poking out from the bracket. Because the bracket rods stick out 6-1/4", I had to drill 6-1/2" holes into the edge of each board. 8 boards x 5 rods each = (40) 6-1/2" holes drilled into the wood. It was a bit of a mess in the house, LOL. Also, notched the board around the bump in the wall to maximize shelf space and give the look of a continuous shelf.

And it keeps going...............
Shelves have 16" between them started measuring from the ceiling down. The last shelf at the bottom is 19" between the brackets to fit the Dynasty Wheely. That hog has never had a shelf to sit on, today she can enjoy the good life off the floor!
