Awesome work as always Rick!

The copy, layout, styling, photograph, fonts, and details look so authentic! I especially ike the subtle yellow starbursts!

BTW, don't show it to Lyle, he may claim it as his own! ;-)

Go!

Most excellent work, Rick. You know how to capture the essence of 80s advertising very well.

I really like the red cassette hubs.

Love the Aiwa ad...looks soooo authentically 80's...lots of other really cool pics on your link too. Lots of hours and talent go into these...top work! :-)

Thanks for the kind words! I know you guys are the only real audience I have for this work that can truly appreciate it, so your 'seal of approval' is the most valuable in my eyes.

Norm: The ad/brochure isn't real. The Aiwa CS-W99 is very real though, and the rest of the things in the shot.

Rock On.

Rick you have inspired me to step up my game. However I am sure I will need something stronger than Gimp 2 to do it. I use Gimp because it is free but the learning curve to get really good at is steep...and I'm still near the bottom.

GIMP will do the job! 90% of the photography in my ad was done in camera, there was just some cloning/clean up stuff that was done to the image. The layout and text and such could be done in anything.

Just gotta get the inspiration rockin, Freddie!
