Working on mssi and need to see pics of where all wire go on the deck 1 board, especially lower motor side...When I got this someone had been in it soldering a resistor and I need to make sure nothing else was moved... Here is my pic from when I opened it up...Thanks

Thanks joe, but I need it with all wires hooked up as the guy before me was soldering and I need to check to make sure wires in right spot. I'm having trouble with music search and never checked when I repaired in begging of year. This will be much appreciated.

In order to view this board only back of box needs to come off. No tear down necessary. Please, I need someone with a conion or aka help in order to resolve this issue

Ok thanks to Joe (Blu_fuz) for a used deck board and Norm (Superduper) for helping me with measurement, I finally got Music Search working 100% it ended up being the trim pot for sensitivity level being bad. I used the trim pot off the board I got from Joe and she's working great  Thanks guys :smooch:
Bad trim pot........

I noticed 3 of these on the board. Can you tell me which one it was? My music search just keeps on going and doesn't stop so I may try adjusting or looking at this variable resistor. Is it the one that is off by itself? Thanks

Hey Guys. Im starting to think this was the way they are because my box is the same. It's two separate resistors joined together with solder in the middle. Every one of these Conions I have taken apart looks the exact same way.

Thanks. Not sure if mine is bad also. Mine just keeps fast forwarding but will stop to play the tape if you press the MSSI button while its scanning it just wont stop between songs. Oh well. Tried turning this VR301 but didn't seem to help unless I'm just not familiar with the process.

More than likely the pot is bad and needs to be replaced
