I have doubts to replace the foams surround of the Aiwa CS-880
1. Glue:

A white glue is enough it or use a black hexane glue?

2. In or above:

Inside bonding? above or below the membrane.

Thank U

I did it about 10 years ago. They are spares for me now. Wasn't hard to do. For best appearance, slip surround behind cone. Use white glue if foam. Use black rubber glue or contact cement if rubber. Rubber surround will last longer but much harder to install, and even harder still to redo if they ever fail due to difficulty in removing old surround and adhesive... might be impossible.

Good to see people doing it the right way. I've seen so many amateur CS-880 jobs on Ebay, where the surround was glued to the front of the speakers, making the cones look too small. Also some people have used hideous all-black cones with no chrome center caps
