My worst big $$$ deal EVER !!!

I think, nothing ventured, nothing gained & that was a sweet deal too good to be true & I would've pounced too, hoping for the best & relying on PayPal to make it right if it's bogus. You can see from his feedback that it's all dollar store trinkets, not collectibles. That was your cliue to a burn.
I've bought plenty of Computer hardware & I bid on 2 450 dollar mother boards from a bogus Thailand seller & he tried to dodge the PayPal situation by sending me an invoice from another PayPal account. Sure enough, I look at his feedback & it's like 423 but all private transactions & dollar store junk on his feedback. I kept my emails on eBay & wouldn't respond thru my normal email. I did everything through eBay & kept a meticulous paper-trail of the correspondence & original transaction. I got my coin back from PayPal, even tho the invoice didn't match the seller on the ITEM. In about 60 days they closed the dispute in my favour, ALL 4 C-notes & shipping. I actually like PayPal.
Once I was able to prove mail fraud, lhey paid me off within 24hrs of talking to an agent after the claim period begins. The trick is you got to wait it out past the dispute stage & escalate to a claim. Once the claim is a week old, you call them, explain the siuation with an agent. Then, you get results as you can show him what's in your ebay account & emails with the seller.
Also, re-verify details of the sale with the seller before closing the transaction This solidifies the terms of the sale for PayPal or Ebay to verify later if you've been taken by damaged merchandise or mail fraud.
That's what you learn from that situation....maybe
