Bill, have you had good enough weather to drop the top and cruise?? All we have is rain and stuff..
Doesn't even feel like June, more like March...
and yes, the state trooper towed my Cadillac cuz it was missing front plate.. they got a hard on for harassing lowriders... City cops are cool though.. :police:

Yeah I guess cops can try to use badge thinking they are god sometimes. and yes I've driven it quite a bit with top dropped. I even let my daughter drive it with top down :-D. I just love the way it handles. Jimmy said with top down they usually shake quite a bit but it seems fine to me.

Nice pics Bill.
Lovin your convertible T/A !!!!
Never did get a chance to drive a 90's model.
I surely miss my birds sometimes.
I had an 89 Formula , 77 T/A and a 78 T/A.
Take care of that ride now will ya, and
don't go scratching it up with the boomboxes now.

Thanks Frank  yeah I baby it all the time. I also had a couple other birds. In 1986 I got and 82 Trans Am (1st of the 3rd generations). Then a few years ago I had the 88' Firebird Formula. Both were red and gorgeous. But I love this one the best  I always wanted the 78/79' black n gold TA too. Almost bought one 15 years ago but missed sale :-(

That's a MEAN looking 1970 Chevelle in the background!

There isn't one Trans Am that I wouldn't own! From the 1969 Super Duty to the very last one they made. But I am with Retrohead, the Bandit is my dream TA

Thanks Chris ;-). I agree the 78/79 TA was the baddest around and believe me when Smokey and the Bandit came out and I went to drive in to see it I always wanted the Black n Gold TA after that. One day I will have one :-). Oh by the way that was our 72' Buick Skylark in back ground. Unfortunately we had to trade it because I needed a normal drivable every day car :-(. Jeannie is still upset about it...

Dealers put cheap screws that rust all the time. See the rust! First thing I do is to buy stainless steel screws and replace those cheap scres they put for the plate. You pay a lot of money for the car and they give us only cheap screws..... :sadno:

It needed quite a bit of body work and bumpers needed rechroming. But it ran good. We invested about $5000 in it and expected another $5000 in body and paint. Eventually we will get another toy :-)
