Recently bought this on Ebay for $200 delivered to my door... I sold a Hulk 181 comic on Ebay which sold for $340 which I only paid $50 for. So I guess this only cost me like $30.

Sounds awesome no remote though.

If anyone has one for sale let me know.

Or, if you want the remote simply as a means of operating the controls and not as an original part to increase the value of the machine, there are downloads of the IR mapping for loads of gadgets available for Android devices with IR connectivity built in such as the HTC One and various Huawei handsets.

Wow. That's the best idea ever. Thanks John!

No problem. IR disappeared from phones for a few years after the old Symbian handsets from the likes of Sony Ericsson (my P800 still works and on its original, 11 year old battery too) gave way to slimmer, ever more complex devices but HTC brought back the infrared port on the One when it was introduced last Winter, Samsung weren't far behind and more recently, Huawei announced that they're also having a piece of that action, which is sure to inspire the other phone makers to follow their example, in fact they probably did already.

I use this app on my HTC and it basically sets itself up to work with any device that uses IR for remote control, I have it operating my Sony TV, my Wharfedale (cheap generic brand probably not sold outside of the UK) Digital Freeview hard drive recorder, my parents' garage door (useful when I drive up to visit their place), both of their TVs (haven't told them how I do that trick yet  ...) and my sister in law's hi-fi (dear Heather, she's convinced its tuner is broken as it mysteriously changes radio channels all on its own!).
It's also great fun to go into large home electricals stores and stand in the doorway changing the channels on all of their display TVs but obviously that's just something I've been told and I'm far too old and lacking in sense of humour to do such mischief myself. :angelic:
