bought this from a co-worker for a very low price, knowing it needed an engine, I wanted to get another Nissan pickup like the 87 I owned for 15 years as i miss doing the 4 wheeling thing. all the pickups I found were outside my budget so when this one became available I took it. Below are a few pics of it as I progress in making it over, first pic was my 87:

pass. side view before I took it home, notice how little clearance there is between the front tire and the fender even with no fender flare

pass. side after I re-indexed the torsion bars, notice the tire clearance this time with the flare:

drivers side front wheel after cleaning and with re-painted center cap, again notice the tire clearance:

this time pass. side, wheel clean, re-painted center cap after adjusting torsion bars, notice clearance with fender flare:

Nice to see the rockers aren't all rusted through. Up here in the north, forgetaboutit!
I always wanted a two door Pathfinder of the same year (92'-94) They were so damn cool with the little triangle window.
Couldn't afford it though. But they were the epitome of cool back then. I wound up with an Isuzu Amigo Jeep like truck. I had a lot of fun with it.
Nice work. You get an engine yet???

yes, bought a JDM engine 2 weeks ago, it's at my friends shop waiting for me to bring the truck over, possibly this Saturday. Ira, the wheels are stock and also very heavy! Paint came back pretty good except the hood is shot and may be able to get the roof to come back with some wet sanding. The 2 door pathfinders were only made from 86.5 to 89. some US 90's we're 2 door but are extremely rare. 2 doors pathfinders we're still available in 90 in Canada.

Your right, I wasn't really sure of the years, but still damn cool regardless.
I had to sand, prime and paint my bumpers on my Amigo so many times. :sadno: That steel they used was really junky. but looked good after.
I hopped it up a little bit by adding a header, K&N air filter sent the carbs out to get tweeked, heavy duty clutch, and a cat back exhaust minus the cat. It was pretty torquey but power was pretty pathetic. I could only do 95mph down hill with help from a tornado tailwind!

Any V8 swap that would be put into this truck would have to be either the Infiniti Q45 V8 maiking around 317 HP or the Nissan Titan V8 putting out around 305, alhough the new infiniti uses a version of the Titan engine and it makes over 420 HP, have to stick with Nissan no chevy engine in my ride!!

No idea what the pathfinder will top out at but in my 87 Nissan 4X4 with the 140 HP V6, automatic tranny with no over drive, no cat, flowmaster 2.25 exhaust and running 33" tires I got pulled over for doing 105 (downhill) and drove away with a warning !!
