I hope the salon gave you a coupe months rent for your artwork?
Hey Reli, it was my friend who rents the bottom half of the building for her salon, who commissioned me to paint the mural over 4 years ago.. I just moved here about 4 months ago..

But, over a year ago the owner of the building had also commissioned me to paint his bus!
(Which sits next to the building in the parking lot)

Boy that really pops James, excellent work. It's probably good for your health during winter when everything is a shade of gray or brown outside. Then, you enter the boom room, and BAM! :breakdance:

I remember kicking it on that sky bridge in Vegas with you and your Prince box, I gave some beer to that homeless dude he seemed pretty jazzed about it
You said it Eric! It's funny, all the other rooms I painted bright pastel colors..but, this room I did the walls grey to reflect society, and my artwork hung on the walls is the kolor I bring to the world! Plus, I figured my painted stuff would pop more on a muted wall..
The more I hook up this Lair, the less reason I have to go anywhere to party!
I'm not a keyboard player, but I have some fun from time to time..

That you can do all that with spray instead of brush is awesome. Do you use some kind of guard or shield between colors?

Just all freehand..it's all about getting the spraycan close and moving it fast to get a clean line.. If it gets a little sloppy or fuzzy overspray, you just "cut it" back with the other color to clean it up!

This is awesome, nice to see you post again!
Yeah Joe! I had logged out when I moved, and couldn't remember my password forever..but finally figured it out!

Do you ever wear a mask? Or just hold your breath lol?
I wear a respirator in enclosed areas..not in the open though.. I coined the term "Rainbow Boogers" years ago to describe all the different paint overspray I've inhaled..

Man JC, your room looks really great, but your artwork is amazing. It's all really impressive. I love the Just Cruisin Car Club logo thing too (drawing a blank on what that's called, lol).

Thanks Trippy! Yeah they call em plaques..mine are cast the old school way, unlike most new company's that use water jet or lazer cutting.. The even older style cast plaques are fully solid like a license plate like this pic..;-)

Plaques! Duh, I can't believe I spaced out on that. That's awesome. I remember making a cast Eagle plaque out of aluminum in high school. Making the mold out of this sandy stuff and all and pouring the molten aluminum, then polishing it all up
I think I still have it somewhere.

Yes, I did that in shop class too! The ones I remember making was the Drama masks, the smile now/cry later faces..

Hey everyone! I recently moved to a new town and have been busy setting up my new Lair!
Had to get a checkerboard dance floor for 20 bucks, because this will be the entertaining room..

My tape/cd collection. Found the keyboard at a thrift for $5..the portable cassette radios were thrift finds too..

Hooked up some purple LEDs for fun, creates a nice ambiance!

Going to paint the picture frame and triangle shelf same color as the walls, that way the poster is more molded into the corner..

Got a spinning disco bulb, this pic is before I mounted it on the ceiling..

One of the Prince symbols I made hangs on the other side of the window, on the wall that the tapes and CDs are on..

My spraycan rack is directly across the room from the Boomboxes..

Dear me, this set-up is a bit of a jaw dropper if ever there was one, I'll certainly be coming back to this thread for Boom Room inspiration.
