My Greatest Goodwill find so far...maybe not?

Scored this mini last night for $3 @ local Goodwill, I was whoopin and wowin at the excellent condition it was in: Pearl White finish with blue anodized faceplate, bought some new Duracells for it and it wont power up.. :-/

The pin looks to be broken off the inside of the DC outlet, making me wonder if thats why it wont power up on batteries..? :hmmm:
It feels like a solid little machine, thats why I want to get it going.. Just a lot of internal stuff jampacked into a tiny little space..

:agree: I love the Style and colors. I got two Sanyo M7650 minis from the Goodwill for a few bucks too. Mine don't have innies or outies. Hope you get her going.

:agree: Looks to be the main problem!
There must also be a little switch inside from battery to DC plug.
If there is a damage, so it will not power up with battery! :yes:
good luck!

btw: found also the same one in red on flea.
But very used condition and rotted batterys inside... :thumbsdown:

I removed the 9v DC plug for now and soldered the green battery wire to the power terminal..Instant power!
My cable install buddy says he has a bunch of those 9v plugs I might hook up..
Radio works, everything on cassette works great, I set the Automatic Music Search System to the 3rd song on the Madonna tape I got the same day at Goodwill, and watched the LCD number go from 3 to 2 to 1 and then start playing the song I selected! :w00t: :w00t:

I am so proud of my new box I took it for a walk to the Mall last night while blastin my Red Hot Chili Peppers tape! :breakdance:
It looks so good with some of my other boomers.. My only white box! The Pearl gives it a lil classiness next to some of my custom boxes.. :cool:

Bought one of these from stynger007, very nice sound, great music search, lots of chrome & it's a beauty. :hmmm: :thumbsup:

Mine was red, this blue & pearl is sweet. :drool:
