My Brother Gave Me. Computer-Tower-Please Help!!

Hi everyone-I got a decent Dell Inspiron 5315 tower with a AMD
64 AthalonX2 processor.
It's a dual core and about 1GB of memory.
Here's the problem,it came from his wifes ex and no one knows
the password.
My nephew has an account on there but won't give me his password!
He did but it doesn't work!!
So there are 3 accounts administrator/Stanton
Sam (my nephew)
Guest.

Well I can't install my wireless mouse which is new and I'm so pissed
as I can't crack any password and no I don't have the password disc!!
Can anyone help me?? This is a nice computer but I can't frickin
use this!
It has Vista operating system and I don't want to wipe it out and put XP
on it if I don't have to!!

My friend(neighbor) won't help me and he's supposed to be a computer
wizard. :annoyed:
I'd appreciate any help on this as it's only around 4 years old
and is much better & newer than my old Gateway.

If the Ex of your brothers wife is not very clever maybe he used a simple password.
Maybe test the most popular passwords. http://techland.time.com/2011/11/22/the ... s-of-2011/
If it doesn´t help you need to wipe the disk...

I have used this to crack several windows passwords.. you have to be a little technical to use it perhaps, but is Cracks LM and NTLM hashes easily as most password are not very complex

Hi,the hint is "what's my size" oh well if I can't crack it and I can't get
my nephews password then I'll have to wipe out the harddrive and
Install XP or 7.

if it were xp home u could boot and hit f8 and go to safe mode and remove password ,,vista is a totaly diffrent animal,,if its the home edition or basic u might try that to see but u might as well get a vista upgrade disk from ebay and start over

But won't I still have to have administration access to upgrade?
Man I found that this computer is pretty trick.
It does have a dual core processor and around 200GB hard drive.
It's either 1 or 2GB memory and can be upgraded to 4GB of memory!
Hope I get it going,I've heard that XP is the way to go as Vista kind
of sucks.
I don't want to lose all the cool programs I'n here,so I'm hoping I
can get into this thing.

Jeff to bad you weren't closer Jeannie cracks the passwords for people all the time She's a whiz at computers and has even gotten into a computer that had a locking program that was embedded into fat file and loaded before anything else so computer was unusable... Well until she got into it
