My 1985-87 Photos (Some Blurry)

I came across a few photos of myself holding a boombox. These photos were taken with a 110 Camera. No cell phones back then. OnIy a few people had pagers. I have on the red USMC jacket.

The above photos was taken on George Washington PWY at a scenic site outside of DC. (1987). I have no idea what happened to that box. It was my 3rd boombox.

That is something I wish I had, pictures of me from back in the day with my radio.

Great shots! Nothing like rockin' a 30lbs box on your shoulder!

Oh yeah, the ol' 110 camera's. As classic as that 777

Man that's awesome. I was only 5 in 1985 and didn't get my first box till 2 yrs ago. Still got heaps of my 80s toys tho

That's great that you still have pics. of those days man!

I was so busy chasing girls and hanging out with my boomers. Lighting up and just being a teenager it never crossed my mind to take pics. Back then it was about being out there with the crew play hand ball, show off your Graffiti skillz and get bombed. The only one I have is the avatar taken by my girlfriends sister in Linden Park Queens NYC now known as Park of the Americas WTF!! I say around 1983 if I'm right.

I totally hate the fact that I sold my M-90 that box was mint when I sold it. :bang:

It seems that New York City has been trying to change the past by renaming Parks, Ballparks, and Streets as if though they are erasing the past. that is so sad because New York City had this Mystique about it that fascinated people yes there were crimes, gangs, graffiti and loud people, but you look at New York City and it is not the same.

It is a city that is just boring it's about who has the most money and vanity. They made New York into some second Beverly Hills full of people that wouldn't know how to survive a real city jungle.

I was one individual that really didn't look at things as we do today.

I had many boxes and it kills me really deep.

Kills you that you didn't keep them?

Well, I doubt most kids keep their first smartphones, phone cases, and gaming consoles either. But if they did, they'd have some memories. :yes:

I have most of my old junk. Games, consoles, phones, computers. But I'm not most. And not everyone would call me a kid anymore, (30). Although I know here I'm a young buck.

That is very cool having old pics with your box back in da 80's!!!! Wish I to had some pics but of course like you said no camera phones and owning, buying and developing film was cosltly.

Awesome, like a lot of others I don't have any pics of me with my old boomers, you very lucky to have such memories. Great pics and glad you shared
