I picked up an interesting machine and this one really got it all. Dancing LEDs, pulsating lights, a spinning mirror ball with two pinspots and also two strobes! Okay the mirror ball is just a chromish-plastic-ball. No actual mirrors. But it still does the trick. And thoses strobes are the real thing! Proper flashes!
This thing also hides a 'subwoofer' in the back. Whoa. 'Hyper Bass Speaker System'. So how's the sound? Well, it's awful. And I use the term subwoofer loosely here. The bass is rattling all the cheap plastic like nothing good so that this box would actually sound better without the 'sub' and all the vibration that comes with it. But maybe something can be done about that... The sound still won't be good then, but at least somewhat strong. This actually isn't an empty shell. It's pretty heavy... and doesn't take batteries
What I thought was a battery compartment is actually just there for storing the mirror ball.
Anyway, like most Discolite-ish boomboxes this thing is pretty cheesy but a lot of fun. All those eyecandy features can be switched on and off seperately... I believe. I'm still not entirely sure how the control works. Unfortunately the pinspots need new lamps and the right strobe needs to be replaced, too. While I'm at it I might isolate the woofer on the back a little. And maybe I'll get a proper mirror ball to put on top!
Another curiosity: This thing receives FM from 65 to 74. Well... that's pretty useless around here.
But enough blabla.

p.s.: I called it "this thing" throughout this whole post. It's actually a 'Prima XC-151' but it also says 'Music Dancing Center'.

. Definitely don't ship this...it would probably be a disaster and end up a box of "chicklets"
