Don't watch things twice, so don't see these things on TV very often. Just not a big TV fan.

Having seen most of these, though, I would watch Ira's list in a heartbeat.

So tell me what's your favorite movie in each of these genres.

1. Classic (think back to Casablanca, Gone with the Wind, The Bishop's Wife, etc)
2. Cheesy
3. Action / adventure
4. Comedy
5. Chick Flick (it's ok that you like a chick flick, really I swear, plus it's our little secret, I won't tell a soul!)
6. Horror
7. Animated or Family
8. Sci-Fi
9. Musical (again, it's our secret)
10. Mystery / Thriller

#2....huh. I would have never thought Shawshank Redemption was "cheesy". Of course, I have never actually seen it, but isn't it like a serious story about bad things happening in jail in the olden days?

Yeah I might be a bit off with that one, but I don't really watch really cheesy films, so this was the best I could do. It is a serious story, but fairly light-hearted and positive. Sure, people die, but I think the whole mood isn't death and pain but more like hope and friendship. Also the end is one the cheesiest ends I've ever seen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRBl0GPBm4o

Yeah man, that's as cheesy as a whole suitcase full of AsDa mature Cheddar. But it's a magnificent film so it's all good.
