Harry Belafonte`s movie was synchronized in German and became of the most popular 80`s movies in East Germany. The red bosses tried to show us the poor people in th USA, but we, the youth, celebrated this movie as the best music movie ever. It was our view over the wall to the world of Rap and Hip Hop. And we loved it!
