When I bought the truck I knew it had an exhaust manifold leak. GM V8s are known for breaking exhaust manifold bolts and mine had 2 with the heads of the bolts missing causing a leak.
Took the truck in yesterday morning and drove it home the same day.

No more "tick" "tick""tick""tick""tick" noise anymore

. Luckily they were able to get those broken bolts out of the heads with no problems. If they couldn't extract them, then they would have had to dismantle the engine, remove the head, and then try to extract the bolts.
Rear diff fluid changed and had the brakes/suspension/steering looked over and they said it will need pads and rotors in the front soon but other than that it is a solid ride. 3 people complimented me on the truck while in for service saying they hadn't seen a '07 in that color with so many options before. One guy working there said that is is kind of a rare combo for that color and the 6.0L V8 because it is the first year of the new body style, first year of the 6.0L, and the last year of that color

.
Sent in my application for custom plates too. Will soon say BARNEZ.

(BARNES is my last name)
My uncle has a Cadillac Escalade EXT which is the Avalanches caddy brother and his plate says BARNES so I couldn't pick that one. It will be fun to be at family gatherings with both trucks next to eachother
