Bill I'm sorry to hear this. I hope you get the best news possible. I knew a guy with Crohns in school. He managed pretty well for the most part. I hope you don't have anything though.

Wish you the best man.

Sorry to hear of your medical issues Bill. I had a recent scare that required a colonoscopy - not fun.

We're praying for you dude.

All the best,

James ..... :-)

P.S If any members over 40 are still smoking - quit now, we're getting too old for that shiat. :-(
That was My first thought as well. Smoking will do nothing for any of Your health concerns. Not trying to sound preachy Bill. I'm only saying it out of sincere concern for a great friend I've had the pleasure of meeting, several times. Prayers to You and Your familia. Glad You're out of the hospital. Stay strong Brother!

This getting older things sucks!

It is so hard to make "Lifestyle Changes". I'm trying to stay active, but I'm not doing a very good job. Got the infamous "Beer Belly" going, trying to work on that (by drinking more beer  :bang:   )

I just spoke to a very good friend of mine today that I have known since we were 10 years old. This past December he ended up in the hospital and almost lost it all. Only through the professionalism of a hard working team of 20 plus people did he live through it. In fact, his situation was so dire and the fact that he pulled through so tight, that he will be featured in an article in the American Journal of Medicine on the techniques they used to save his life.

Why did he end up in this situation?

He worked 15 hour days, drank 5 Monster Energy drinks a day, smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day, tons of red meat, no exercise, no vegetables. All things he had control of.

In the end, he ended up losing his right leg below the knee due to complications of having a stent put in one of his main arteries.

So now, no more dirt bike riding, bike is up for sale. No more playing with his Dune Buggy, that is up for sale, no more water skiing, boat is up for sale. Lost his job (was in carpet cleaning business).

As I said, I'm no example of how to do it, but I am trying...

I think this thread will make me try a little harder.

Thinking about ya Bill, hope you can get this all in check.

Damn Bill sorry to read this. It is true...getting older isn't fun...our bodies aren't like they were 20 years ago. I used to smoke on/off for many years...soon it will be 3 full years that i quit smoking completely...it's a REAL game changer...since i quit smoking, i feel 1000X's better...i recently started back kickboxing and besides my sore joint issues...i feel like i'm 20 again. I can go at it on a heavy punch bag non stop easily for 30-35 minutes with no breaks :-D

Stay strong Bill...eat well, and TRY HARD to quit smoking, if not for yourself...do it for your family and loved ones  ...AND also don't forget to buy your plane ticket for Vegas...we are all expecting you to be there!

Sorry to hear about this Bill! I don't know much about Chron's, but life just goes on. it sounds like you'll probably be eating heathier, at least. Dunno what else to say but whenever I feel down about something I try to think of the millions who have it much worse because they live in some shithole country or have some severe handicap, physical or mental.

We're here for you Bill. You're tougher than a three dollar steak. Keep us posted and if there is anything we can do aside from prayer alone, let us know. :-)
