This getting older things sucks!
It is so hard to make "Lifestyle Changes". I'm trying to stay active, but I'm not doing a very good job. Got the infamous "Beer Belly" going, trying to work on that (by drinking more beer

)
I just spoke to a very good friend of mine today that I have known since we were 10 years old. This past December he ended up in the hospital and almost lost it all. Only through the professionalism of a hard working team of 20 plus people did he live through it. In fact, his situation was so dire and the fact that he pulled through so tight, that he will be featured in an article in the American Journal of Medicine on the techniques they used to save his life.
Why did he end up in this situation?
He worked 15 hour days, drank 5 Monster Energy drinks a day, smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day, tons of red meat, no exercise, no vegetables. All things he had control of.
In the end, he ended up losing his right leg below the knee due to complications of having a stent put in one of his main arteries.
So now, no more dirt bike riding, bike is up for sale. No more playing with his Dune Buggy, that is up for sale, no more water skiing, boat is up for sale. Lost his job (was in carpet cleaning business).
As I said, I'm no example of how to do it, but I am trying...
I think this thread will make me try a little harder.
Thinking about ya Bill, hope you can get this all in check.
